The is a Canvas course that all 亚洲疯情 faculty are enrolled in. The ETC contains a current calendar of webinars, on demand training with badging, and information related to Canvas and Ed Tech tool updates.
Distance Education Handbook
Current federal, state and local regulations for teaching online are located in the in Canvas.
Communication
Communication from the Office of Online Learning and Educational Technology to faculty teaching online classes is done via the onliners list-serv and the Onliner Lounge (see below). Emails include information such as class loads, Insight, roll-over specifics, etc. Only faculty who are teaching online are included in the list-serv.
Class Information
- Class Start
- All online classes will open on the first day of the scheduled start date for that class.
- Faculty must publish their Canvas course before a student can see and complete course content.
- Adding Students to Canvas
- Registered students are added to their online classes automatically. It may take up to 8 hours after class registration for a student to see the Canvas course.
- Students on the waitlist are not added to the Canvas course and are not permitted to be added until they are officially registered.
Distance Education Addenda (DEA)
Before a class can be offered online, it must meet the 亚洲疯情 Curriculum Committee Distance Education Addendum Requirements. Once the class has been approved for development, the Educational Technology Department works with the developer to ensure curriculum requirements are met.
- - Submit a DEA only if you received an award letter from the DLAC and Office of Online Learning.
- - Follow these directions exactly, and you will save time.
- Approved by the College-wide Curriculum Committee
